Multi Restaurant Ordering Platform

Overview

Gigiri Courtyard is a QR-based ordering platform designed for shared dining spaces with multiple restaurants. Customers simply scan a QR code at their table to access restaurant menus, place orders, and even call a waiter if needed. The platform enhances the dining experience by providing instant access to multiple restaurant menus in one interface while streamlining order management for restaurant owners. Restaurant owners/admins can upload and update menus with images, modify banners and restaurant descriptions, and manage orders and calls. The system also provides real-time updates and notifications to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Key Decisions

React Native & Expo: Built as a cross-platform mobile app for Android and iOS Firebase Authentication: Used for secure OTP-based login for restaurant owners/admins Firebase Firestore: Real-time database to manage menus, orders, and restaurant data Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notifications for order updates and calls Twilio SMS Integration: Sends SMS notifications to restaurant owners for new orders or calls Dynamic Menu & Banner Management: Allows owners to update menus, images, and banners anytime Order Status Management: Supports multiple order statuses with dynamic action buttons

Delivery Approach

Developed with Agile methodology in iterative sprints. Initial development focused on customer menu scanning and order placement, followed by restaurant owner dashboard features including menu uploads, banner management, and order management. Notifications (push and SMS) were integrated for real-time order tracking. We also conducted on-site training sessions with restaurant owners to demonstrate how the system works and ensure they were comfortable managing menus, orders, and banners.
